Patient Information

Background Information

Mountain View Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a small specialty practice in the Southeast Denver area.  What makes our practice unique is that we focus on the patient.  Our hope is that we can spend the time with our patients to help them feel comfortable with their treatment and options. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialty of dentistry as recognized by the American Dental Association. The training typically includes 4 to 6 years of additional hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Many oral and maxillofacial surgeons obtain a medical degree (MD) as part of this process.  Training focuses on all aspects of surgery and management of potential complications.  Unfortunately, many providers market surgical services without the recognized specialty training.  It is important to ask your provider if they are certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Berman manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Berman practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery and surgical management of diseases of the oral cavity and jaws.  Our office can also offer multiple different anesthetic options from local anesthesia (“novocaine”) to intravenous general anesthesia.
